Enjoy two memorable tours at the largest lavender farm in the Southern Hemisphere and an esteemed Tamar Valley Winery, enjoying a gourmet two-course lunch and tastings

For your first tour, you’ll visit Bridestowe Lavender Estate, one of Tasmania's premier tourist destinations and the largest lavender farm in the Southern Hemisphere. Here, you’ll take a 30-minute guided tour through the imacculately manicured lavendar gardens and fields and dependent on the season, admire spectacular views of the vivid lavender in bloom. Your tour is rounded-off with Coffee and Lavender and English breakfast tea. For your second tour, you’ll head to the scenic Tamar Valley and Josef Chromy Wines, set amid the vineyards at Relbia. At this state-of-the-art Tamar Valley Winery, relish a sublime ‘Let’s Do Lunch Experience’ featuring a sumptuous two-course lunch with matched wines and wine tastings. Later, you’ll return to your hotel in Launceston.

Today, enjoy a day at leisure in Launceston, allowing plenty of time to discover some of the things Launceston is best known for. Take a walk beneath the high walls of the Cataract Gorge, a scenic route which reveals panoramic views, or stroll through the city’s sculpted gardens. Housed in a 19th-century railway workshop, The Queen Victoria Museum – Australia’s largest regional gallery – displays interesting exhibitions on Tasmanian history; its sister Art Gallery lies across the river, by the sprawling Royal Park. Little more than five kilometres from the city centre, you could also wander through the Tamar Island Wetlands Reserve, where more than 60 bird species have been recorded.

You’ll then continue your journey to Hobart, whereupon you’ll delight in a three-night stay.

Today you’ll have a day at leisure in Tasmania’s charming capital, Hobart. Laden with bags of sea-salty charm and home to more than 90 National Trust buildings, Hobart combines colonial character and heritage with a metropolitan lifestyle and renowned gourmet food scene. The city’s port is situated in the heart of the historical – and now fashionable – Salamanca quarter, Hobart’s history-drenched, creative and cultural epicentre. Here, discover old sandstone warehouses that feature wonderful galleries and cafés and the location of one of Australia’s best outdoor markets, then stroll to nearby Battery Point, a historic district filled with narrow lanes and colonial-era cottages. The city's backdrop, the 1,270-metres-high Mount Wellington, reveals spectacular sweeping views from its summit.

Having moved to Sydney Manu opened Bilson’s at the Radisson Hotel, garnering Three Chefs Hats for three successive years. Having also evolved as one of the most popular personalities on Australian television, Manu is co-host “My Kitchen Rules”, with the new series launching in August 2022 alongside Nigella Lawson.
