If you prefer a more laid-back holiday, spend a relaxing day dolphin-watching.

Dramatic mountain peaks surround the deep blue waters of Pago Pago. The town is rich in history and culture filled with historic buildings and museums. Visit the Baroque Torre de Clerigos, the Roman Cedofeita Church and the home of the Navigator, Prince Henry for an insight into this ports historic beauty and to soak up some of the culture on offer. The shops offer a wide range of independent and boutique shops as well as top designers.

Bora Bora is surrounded by glistening white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and stunning mountainous landscape. This island is renowned for hosting many celebrities over the years because it really is a piece of paradise. The lagoon is three times the size of the island and is home to an abundance of beautiful marine life. You can hire bikes and circle the whole island taking in the breathtaking views and tropical wildlife.

Papeete harbour is full of hustle and bustle surrounded by a mass of crystal water and sandy white beaches. Tahiti has a bustling, vibrant feeling with markets lining the streets, colourful boulevard and numerous sidewalk café. Neighbouring Tahiti Iti is home to a few villages and small beaches offering trips to view stunning waterfalls, archaeological sites and caves and beautiful scenery.

Honolulu has it all. Here you’ll find everything from historic landmarks and treasured monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and culture scene. Honolulu spreads throughout the south eastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbour to the world famous Waikiki, once a playground for the Hawaiian royalty.

The beautiful island of Maui in Hawaii has everything – lush greenery, miles of sandy beaches, historic villages and opportunities for every water sport imaginable. It has a rich cultural tradition and offers delicious traditional food. See the twisting Road to Hana, passing stunning waterfalls, lava cliffs and beaches.

Los Angeles is a culturally vibrant city. Although most famous for its district of Hollywood, the city also boasts over 800 museums and galleries. You can go from visiting the La Brea Tar Pits to shopping on Melrose Avenue, and admiring the Walk of Fame. There’s plenty to do for everyone in this lively and buzzing city.

Victoria is a lively, buzzing city, nicknamed the Garden City thanks to the beautiful Butchart Gardens. Among the city’s more unusual attractions are its unique Miniature World and its undersea gardens. Relax with some wine tasting or spend some time whale watching.

Cradled between the ocean and snow-capped mountains, its idyllic waterfront is dotted with fine beaches and it has an abundance of parkland, which is why not surprisingly it routinely tops those lists of the world's greatest places to live. You’ll find a world-class museum, a symphony orchestra, opera, theatre and cutting-edge dance companies and the produce from the local vineyards is well worth a look in to.
