Fly to Adelaide for a two-night hotel stay in this cosmopolitan capital of South Australia. Adelaide’s pristine streets and vast public spaces make it a delight to explore, while the Victorian-era Central Market is a treasure trove of gastronomic treats sold by artisanal food producers and there are plenty of first-class cultural institutions to delve into.

You’ll be treated to an unforgettable concert featuring two of Australia’s biggest artists of the last two decades, Daryl Braithwaite and Russell Morris. Both have played a huge role in the country’s music scene, with numerous top 40 hits during their illustrious careers. Singing before an intimate audience of just 250 people, these two musical legends will perform a selection of their hits, complemented by a sumptuous three-course gala dinner that includes beers, local wines, and soft drinks. It promises to be a night to remember.

Taking the ferry to Kangaroo Island the next day, you’ll get to spend an unforgettable two days here with an overnight hotel stay. Those with a sweet tooth will love Clifford’s Honey Farm and you’ll also see how one of the country’s most famous products is processed at the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery. You’ll also visit the Emu Bay Lavender Farm and Flinders Chase National Park, a sanctuary for native Australian animals. Stroll the rugged coastline where the incredible sea views afford fantastic photo opportunities, especially at the aptly named Remarkable Rocks.

Returning to the mainland for a further three-night Adelaide stay, you’ll spend a day touring the nearby Barossa Valley, a renowned wine-producing region beyond the city. Visit the Saltram Wine Estate and Jacobs Creek Visitors Centre where you’ll sample the award-winning wines among the rolling hills of the Barossa Range. You’ll also get to sample the seasonal delicacies at the famous Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop and travel up to the Mengler Hill Lookout for long-reaching valley views.

Your next tour takes you south of the city to Victor Harbour, a popular getaway destination for city dwellers due to its laidback seaside atmosphere. Head across the causeway to Granite Island, home to a colony of small penguins, and enjoy a dolphin-spotting eco-cruise on the Big Duck boat. Another highlight is the Almond Train, an old train carriage lovingly converted into a shop.
