Untouched islands, pristine waters, breathtaking sunsets and magnificent wildlife are just a handful of treasures you’ll discover on this one-of-a-kind cruise and tour adventure of the Abrolhos Islands.
Perth, one of the world’s most remote cities and the capital of Western Australia, is where your holiday begins. Facing the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean, it’s a place that makes the most of its coastal location and is brimming with cultural treats and historical attractions. Enjoy a one-night hotel stay here to discover some of its treasures. Wander along the sun-soaked waterfront at Elizabeth Quay and stop for a bite to eat in one of the many delicious eateries, escape to the Swan Valley to drink in the beautiful landscapes and sample mouth-watering wines or lose yourself in one of the many parks and gardens.
Following your stay, you’ll then begin your journey to Geraldton, en-route stopping at the sprawling Nambung National Park where you’ll admire the otherworldly sight of the stunning natural limestone structures in Pinnacle’s Desert.
Your tour continues as you set off for Kalbarri, a charming seaside town found along the Coral Coast. Marvel at the alluring pink waters of the Hutt Lagoon, a natural phenomenon that draws visitors from far and wide. And take a moment to witness the views and capture that iconic photo from Nature’s Window in the heart of the Kalbarri National Park.
Returning to Geraldton, you’ll embark the smart Eco Abrolhos, a custom-built catamaran designed to explore the raw beauty, rich history and ecological wonders of the Abrolhos Islands. One of the largest vessels working out of Geraldton and accommodating up to 34 guests, she offers plenty of open space in which to enjoy the stunning ocean vistas yet boasts an intimate and convivial atmosphere for all on board. Head to the sun deck to spot whales and dolphins, relax on the sun lounges or sip a crisp glass of champagne as you drink in the views of the setting sun dance on the waves.
Your four-night expedition cruise on board this remarkable vessel will take you around the three main groups of the islands– the Southern Group, Easter Group and Wallabi Group. Discover some of Australia’s most spectacular and historic islands, abound with natural wonders and mesmerising marine and birdlife. Highlights of the incredible adventure include spending time with the sea lion colony on Little Sandy Island and visiting the Big Rat Island crayfishing community.
You’ll also have the opportunity to explore perhaps Australia’s most infamous shipwreck, the Batavia, which struck the Morning Reef and subsequently sank on 04th June 1629. Discover the fascinating history of the shipwreck, the mutiny and the maritime skill as you visit the island of angry ghosts and explore the forts built by Wiebbe Hayes and his band of soldiers on West Wallaby Island.
The pinnacle of your tour will be exploring the shipwreck itself. Dive into the shimmering clear-blue waters and snorkel the Long Island Dive Trail. Follow the plaques that tell the story, witness the striking large brain corals and marvel at the variety of species of fish.

Your Itinerary

Enjoy some time at leisure to explore the most isolated city in the world. Perth effortlessly blends chic new bars and restaurants with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscapes of Kings Park and Swan Valley. Wander amongst the beautiful blooms of the Botanic Gardens, admire the views from atop the Bell Tower, or escape to historic Fremantle Bay. Explore Swan River on a gondola ride, savour fantastic food and take a stroll along Public Art Walk in search of the remarkable Spanda sculpture.

Your Kalbarri tour begins in Perth where you’ll meet your local guide and board your private coach for your journey to Geraldton. En route, you’ll stop at Cervantes for a delicious two-course lunch, including tea and coffee, before venturing into Australia’s Nambung National Park, one of the major natural attractions in the region. The breathtaking park, covering an area of over 17,000 hectares, provides a natural habitat for an extensive array of native animals and birdlife. Here you’ll enjoy a walk through the stunning natural limestone structures of Pinnacle’s Desert before arriving in Geraldton for your hotel stay.

Fully rested, this morning you’ll set off in your private coach for your journey to Kalbarri, a picturesque seaside town found midway along Australia’s Coral Coast. En route, you’ll stop at the Hutt Lagoon, a dreamlike lake that draws visitors from both near and far, due to its vivid pink hue. A fully escorted tour into Kalbarri National Park, one of the most spectacular parks in Western Australia, will also showcase some of the region’s most breathtaking landscapes. Highlights include the Kalbarri Skywalk, boasting stunning vistas of the Murchison River and Nature’s Window, an iconic natural attraction.

Leaving Kalbarri behind, you’ll begin your journey back to Geraldton where you’ll embark the Eco Abrolhos for your cruise around the awe-inspiring Abrolhos Islands. Settle into your intimate surroundings of this beautiful catamaran that will be your home for the next four nights. Soak up the sun from the gleaming sundeck, converse with your fellow passengers over a cocktail in the bar and tuck into delectable dishes as you dine alfresco, witnessing spectacular views of the sapphire ocean.

Leaving the Southern Group behind, you’ll head north west to the Easter Group and moor at Wooded Island where morning tea is served. As the island is heavily populated with sea birds, you might spot a couple of resident ospreys nesting close to shore. Following lunch, you’ll cruise to Big Rat Island, nestled in a sand hole surrounded by coral reefs. View the sea lion colony on Little Sandy Island, visit the nearby crayfishing community or enjoy a spot of fishing in the lagoons inside the reef to catch dinner.

Savour some time on board this morning or why not immerse yourself in a few of the activities that you might have missed the day before? After lunch, you’ll take a slow cruise through the Easter group of Islands on your way to Leos Island where you’ll visit the sea lion colony and hand-feed cod in a land-locked lagoon. A stop at the Anemone lump will give you the chance to hand-feed the spangled emperors and parrot fish before mooring at Big Rat Island for sundowners, snacks and dinner.

A day of adventure awaits as you explore perhaps Australia’s most infamous shipwreck, the Batavia. You’ll visit the island of angry ghosts where 126 men, women and children were massacred by the blood thirsty mutineers and explore the forts built by Wiebbe Hayes and his band of soldiers on West Wallaby Island before you dive into the crystal-clear waters to the Batavia’s Graveyard. Snorkel the Long Island Dive Trail and follow the series of plaques on the seabed and discover the different species of fish and corals in the area.

Today you’ll spend some time on Turtle Bay on East Wallaby Island, an enchanting destination with long sandy beaches and pristine turquoise water. Embrace the opportunity to snorkel in these crystal waves or take a walk to the top of the cliffs where you could possibly catch a glimpse of the local wallabies and osprey. Relish one last lunch on board before returning to Geraldton for your one-night hotel stay.

Fully rested, today you’ll head to the airport for your flight home.
