Discover South America

Since the Spanish and Portuguese explorers began colonizing South America it’s been a source of endless curiosity as its archaeological secrets and rich wildlife have been gradually unveiled to the rest of the world. From the flora and fauna of the Amazon rainforest to the mountain-top citadel of Machu Picchu to the glaciers of southern Chile, it’s held us rapt with wonder. And let’s not forget its Latino passion and sense of fun. No city hosts a carnival like Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, with its hip-swaying samba dancing. And Argentina’s Buenos Aires gives it a run for its money, too, with its sultry tango moves. South America is a wondrous place to explore.

Rumble in the Jungle

Iguazu Falls is the world's largest waterfall system and lies on the border of Brazil and Argentina. Immerse yourself in its spectral veils of mist while toucans look on from the surrounding jungle.

The Wilds of Chile

The Chilean fjords at the country's southernmost tip are dramatic, remote and take the breath away. From the comfort of your ship, witness blue-tinged glaciers, penguin colonies and the occasional albatross circling the sky.

United in Dance

Whether it's a sultry tango performance in the barrios of Buenos Aires or gyrating to samba beats in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, these cities have an unrivalled zest for dancing.

Blissful Brazil

At the summit of the Corcovado mountain, the statue of Christ the Redeemer gazes out like a protective beacon over Rio de Janeiro. It's also home to the fabled beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana.

Citadel in the clouds

Unknown to the wider world until early in the 20th century when it was re-discovered by an American explorer, Macchu Picchu is wreathed in mystery. This Incan citadel high in the Andes mountains of Peru is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and continues to intrigue archaeologists. It lies close to the Sacred Valley, also awash with Incan treasures.
